Motor Jr is on the left in the blue and white gear, her best friend G is in the red gear.
Today was adventure day in Scooterpie World. Motorcycle Man took Moto Jr and her best friend out to try a day in the dirt. Westshore Motocross had a women's day and it was a great way to introduce Moto Jr another avenue of riding. I have heard it from many that riding in the dirt is a great way to learn to ride and how to handle a bike. I was working today, but managed to sneak out and watch. Traffic was a bear and I thought I was going to miss the whole event. I have been so excited for her and we have both been looking forward to today. This was a great experience and it only cost me $30 for 2 hours of riding, a lesson, full gear rental and a bike to ride. It looked really fun, I think next week I might just give the dirt a whirl myself.
G burning up the track
Both girls loved it! My daughter loves the puddles and definitely was not shy going through it. Just what I hoped, she went at it with gusto!!! Yup I definitely see another moto diva in the family!
G concentrating on an upcoming curve.
Moto Jr coming over the hill and dare I say she caught a little air!
Look at that grin under the helmet!!!!!
Puddle Queen, every time she went around the track she forged her way through the giant puddle. Yup there was half the puddle inside the boots. For kicks after we got home we went to a local dealer just to have a peek at gear. I think we will be going back in the near future.

I have found that riders that have learnt to ride on dirt make excellent road riders. Very rarely is it the other way round.
Looks great value for money.
Too bad work gets in the way ... you would have had fun on the dirt too I'm sure.
Nice, I would be tempted to try this myself. I used to like playing in the mud (some decades ago I rode a trial bike) Sounds like the young ladies had a blast.
Very cool! Dirt is good!
That looked like a lot of fun! I would have been in the puddles too!! Love it. Great experience for these young ladies.
Awesome. That looks like so much fun. Kudos to you for encouraging her interest at an early age. She'll thank you for it later. I am glad she is loving it so much.
I wanna play too. Such a good price for all that fun.
A very impressive article. Well prepared. Very motivating!! Set off on to way
Roger - I am thrilled she is looking this, I feel better with her learning to handle a bike well in all circumstances, because at some point she is going to want to get her road license.
Vstar Lady - yup, but luckily I have a good boss.
Sonja - I am going to try it too, I think it will be fun.
Andrew - she loved going thru the puddle (it was actually a small lake)
Pam - there were several teenage girls & it was great to see girls going for it and loving riding.
Trobaititz - I know it will make her a better rider, but she will still have take a Novice course & Traffic course when it comes to street.

Looks like fun and reminds me of a song I heard on another blog "Playing in the Mud"

I, too, think that looks like a blast. Yay to you for encouraging her to get out there and ride. She's obviously having a grand time. :-)
good post, added you to my RSS reader.
Woohoo! Way to go, JR.!
Dar, seriously you've gotta get yourself out there and try it too!
Troubadour - I think we all have the down in the dirt motor biking gene, we just have to let our inner mud monster out.
Toadmama - she is begging to go back, so I am taking her bak on Wednesday. She had so much fun, her boots were literally filled to her ankle in the boot. She is my little mud puppy.
Fuzzy - I can't tell you how happy I am about her trying it & loving it. She likes the dirt, but told me she wants to really ride super moto, we'll see. I am going to give it a try on Wednesday when I take her out. I am actually pretty stoked about it too. We wnt & looked at gear for fun and she wants the chest protector that you have, I think it is a good thing that she wants her own gear and wants to wea it. So excited!
