The choppy waters and that misty grey atmosphere says cold like nothing else to us here in the PNW!
Nice series of photos of the winter shoreline! The ones with the ship on the horizon remind me of the Oregon coast. But I love the ones with the mountains in the background.
Bluekat - You are right nothing does say cold until you look at the surf here. I was riding to work and stopped on Dallas road, I took my gloves off to take the picture and my hands were numb by the time I took the pictures and they were freezing. Its almost too cold to sit by the water now.
Your pics remind me of that saying: there is no bad weather, just wrong clothing. I love the ocean at any weather, especially when it shows its stormy face.
I think most motorcyclists know about 'bad clothing'. I bet most of us have had our share of being drenched from gear failure. So I agree with you on bad clothing.
It was so windy and so cold yesterday that even the seagulls weren't flying. The water looked really cold and even the air was freezing cold. Winter light gives everything a chilly look too. I am definitely a summer girl, I miss being outside in the sun. I tend to hide in the winter and don't go out much unless I am hermetically sealed and resemble an oompa loompa because of the 900 layers I am wearing.
That looks freakin' cold Dar! I am going out for a ride today and it is grey and foggy here. I have two new jackets to try out and I will let you know how they fare in our cooler Illinois weather. Stay warm and stay safe!
Bel - I love your new hologram jacket and am in serious want of one of those because it appeals to the diva in me! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, And yup It is freakin' cold, if I had nerts they would be frozen from my adventures today.
Trobairitz - Thanks I feel blessed when those who take excellent pictures (yourself) give me an atta girl. I needed a cup of something hot after my riding class today.

Great pictures Dar. But I think I need a cup of tea. Looking at the pictures has made me chilly.
