Bespeckled doesn't mean boring.

The quest for glasses begins again, and it's tortuous. I lost my much loved glasses last weekend.  I back tracked and couldn't locate them - boo.

Choice number 1 - these glasses are from a Vancouver designer from Spectacle Eyeworks.  They are from his 'Pussy Galore' line which is based on the 60's James Bond Movies.  These sung to my retro diva vibe.

have to wear specs now as it's a requirement on my license for driving. I have never tried contacts because of astigmatism, and I am a little worried about putting things in my eye. But I actually may try them and keep an open mind.

I like my glasses to be funky and make a statement.  Why be boring? It means being a little brave and definitely out of my comfort zone.  I have found not everyone is complimentary about eccentric, eclectic, funky frames, but in the end I have to live with the choice and it has to make me happy.

Choice number 2 - more sedate but still funky.

Choice 3 - they are metal frames and maybe a little big, but I did like them.

I am leaning towards the Pussy Galore frames by Spectacle.  They make me smile every time I try them on, they are comfortable and best yet, they fit really well in my helmet!

I think I know what pair you choose.

Robert, I'm not very subtle am I ? I have bought many a boring pair of glasses in the past and they end up sitting in a drawer gathering dust.

If they are comfy and you like them then get #1, especially if they make you smile.

If you need to wear them, you may as well make a statement. And I think you could rock any type of glasses.

Funky, and helmet compatible is the way to go, Dar ;-)

Still in glasses here....something that works in the helmet always a challenge.

I like your choices!

The first pair look like they might interfere with your "shoulder checks". If you can get past that and like them, get them...says I....:-).

Ah, yes, the fit with the helmet is the key. Looking good :^)

I would never have thought to take my helmet with me to try on new frames. I'm doing that next time for sure. You rock them all, go for the funky ones that you love :) I had metal frames for most of my glasses but the last pair, when the lenses are starting to get heavier, didn't last long before they stared hurting my nose.

I still like the PG specs the best. 😄

I love the first ones. You only go around once, may as well do it in style!

Nice! Hey as long as you can RIDE in them, then that is the way to go! LOL

Got an old "family story" about an elderly aunt shouting out "Pussy Galore?!" in the darkness of a village theater when the movie came out in the 1960s.

The outcome was a roaring/chuckling crowd, astonished by her comment.

It those days it was "naughty" to utter such words!

We still chuckle every time that movie comes on...

Brenda

I stopped wearing metal frames because they bend in my helmet and the nose pieces hurt after awhile and I find the frames bend.
