Our winter is turning out to be a typical West Coast winter with lots of rain and wind. Old man winter gave us a few blasts with a dusting or two of snow and some very unusually cold temps in December with a few days of -19.
Saturday was particularly blustery with high winds and rain. This didn't stop poocha and I heading out for a water front walk, but halfway through poocha held a revolt and sat down and refused to walk further. She was soaked to the skin and shivering, so it was off to home for a warm bath and puppy treats.
She had a lovely little dog coat on, but it was saturated and weighed more than her at that point. It was actually making her colder.

Rain and wind don't sound very welcoming especially when combined with those temperatures. I'll stick with our cold and no wind.
Nice view of the ocean. Is this on the west coast?
Richard,
This is in Victoria on Dallas Road. It is quite a lovely walk here. I think sometimes I am with you and would rather see dry cold and even snow. The wind and rain make it miserable sometimes.

Poor Dog, being dragged out of a warm place and have to get soaked and cold because it's Master wanted to go for a forced walk in a windy place
Even during the Summer it is cool & windy on Dallas Road

Poocha knows best, when will we listen?
Good thing you spoil the pup after that walk. It looks like one of those things that seemed like a good idea at the time, then the weather changes.
Our weather has been the same. Kind of a blah time of year.
Poocha was jonesing for a walk and it was fine when we left and then all proverbial weather sh!t hit the fan in the middle of our walk. I thoroughly apologized to poocha, gave her a lovely warm bath, blow dried her and gave her roast and mashed potatoes for supper. I think I made up for it :)
