Spring is schizophrenic

Today I met up some of my moto mama friends for coffee at a lovely bakery in Chinatown. The weather was all over the place today, it was sunny, torrentially raining and hailing. When I left the house it was sunny with heavy cloud cover, but I thought I would take a chance and it was worth the lovely carrot cake and chat time with my girlfriends. I snapped a pic or two, but it was raining so hard I decided not to venture forth for more pics. By the way the cake was delicious!

This was my first experience of hail rat-a-tat-tatting on my helmet, this is my least favourite thing and it would drive me insane if I had to drive a lot in it.

Wow. Glad you are safe! Riding in the rain can be challenging. We've had snow here in Minnesota AGAIN!! Can't wait to ride!

Ah for simple pleasures....nice to know that people live places where there is no snow in mid-April.

I joined friends for coffee in Mpls. this morning and on the way up, icy roads had 6 vehicles in the ditch, two of which were county patrol cars.

Schizophrenic? I can think of another "s" word to describe Spring around here.

How pretty the flowering tree is with Chinatown in the background. I think spring is goofy all over this year. Let's hope it doesn't last much longer. It's kinda short on the summer end of things around here anyway.

Good on you for getting out regardless of the weather!

We had a ride planned for today (must blog later) but yesterday and overnight the weather was very wet and people were making funny noises about whether to go or not. Luckily the weather sorted itself out and we had a nice day out on the bikes.

I dont really like spring for just the unpredictability thing. Love Autumn the most .. bring on the perfect riding weather!!
Hi Dar,

Riding in hail musta been scary, lucky that hail doesn't normally last that long, not round here anyway. I did it once but it was only a few stones then some more heavy rain so not that bad.

The bikes in the rain is a pretty cool pic, they remind me of being a kid and going puddle jumping in the rain :)

It's a good job hail storms only normally last a few minutes. We've experienced one on the bikes - just horrible - not nice at all. I've hardly ridden this year yet courtesy of the weather, it's looking like we might be coming out of the other side of winter now though so that can only be a good thing!

Good for you riding in the rain and hail. I think I've only ever experienced hail once or twice, luckily it wasn't too heavy and the hail wasn't too big.
