My town - Chinatown

Over the coming weeks I am going to do a series on my town and Island. Sightseeing blog style, stay tuned.  We will be starting out in Chinatown, it is such a lovely little tourist destination filled with wonderful little shops and restaurants.  I still have more to explore and snap photos of.  The Chinatown in Victoria is the oldest in Canada and was established around 1858.  It is a vibrant community in Victoria filled with cultural events and shops and lovely people.

This is the Chinese cultural school and it is a beautiful building.  The cherry blossoms out front were so picturesque and represents what it is like in spring in China

                                          Nice little vespa!

These murals a absolutely lovely and I couldn't resist taking a picture of these

Sonja I am so sad I missed meeting you! I am very envious of your move to Europe and can hardly wait to see your pictures!

How pretty! I look forward to your tour! And I can't wait until I have something pretty and green to show, too.

I look forward to more "touristy" pictures from you, it's always interesting to see the things you would miss in a town/city unless you lived there!

I always love these types of posts. There is so much to see that's "local". I think we riders all think we need to go 100, 1000, 5000 miles down the road for something "epic" when - many times - something unique and interesting is right in our home town.

Dar, a fantastic theme for posting, the concept a dandy. I can't wait and as I've explained before, just one more good excuse to pull my maps out.

My guess, in your effort to show US, YOU will find some things you don't know or have lost appreciation for.

I can already see that you're not in MN :)

Well ladies and gents my mad idea is that you all will fall in love with it so much so that you will feel compelled to come ride here or visit! I would hopefully like to see more of where you live!
