We haven't seen the sky for 7 straight days and are on the way to breaking a record with it. It is foggy this morning and heavier. Commuting has been a little unsettling because people honestly don't see you until they are almost on top of you. Traffic vest does nothing in this stuff either to add to visibility. We had misty September mornings but October so far has been pretty good (far too warm) and fog free. Be careful out there.SonjaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12389245948579828531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7912722884165693795.post-29954164229643859442013-10-23T08:07:36.491-07:002013-10-23T08:07:36.491-07:00I think the fog can be eerie and mysterious, but i...I think the fog can be eerie and mysterious, but it has a time and place. It is not so cool when commuting in it.

We've been lucky with brilliant sunshine every day when the fog burns off. On the order of 70 vehicles in one pileup. But the morning fog we usually get is more photogenic than dangerous and it may slow some people down. We do get ice fog when the temperatures dip below -40 and that is really dangerous to drive in as well as very unhealthy to breath. We just don't get it that often and when we do, it's over with mid-day and normally the conditions that brought the thick air morph into things good.

A steady diet of it would not work for me either.Coop a.k.a. I change my route so I don't have to make left turns without a dedicated left turn lane and even then the oncoming traffic blow through their red lights. You can never tell if they are going to stop or gun it as you are in the middle of the intersection . . .

be safe out there

bob
Riding the Wet CoastAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258612401956399482noreply@blogger.com
