First sign of spring or wishful thinking?

Is this the evil you putting plastic flowers in trees?

It'll be winter for a couple more years...

I wish you luck. Our Cherry Trees were blooming a couple weeks ago. Then the 7F temps destroyed the illusion.

Dar, even here it felt like spring today with ice melting and sun shining ... but I looked at the calendar and saw it was still January and knew it was a cruel trick.

Here's hoping it's just wishful thinking ;)

My guess is yes, it is a sign of spring and yes, wishful thinking.

We have forsythia starting to bud to bloom and showing yellow. Me thinks that the 0˚F we had in December then the warm up tricked some plants into thinking it is spring.

Either way the blossoms are pretty.

The riot of cherry blossoms in Portland last March was amazing to see. But blossoms in mid January, really?

Keep us posted on how they fare.

Hmmm...maybe.

Yesterday here I went to lunch in the sunshine with the car windows down a bit. Nice balmy day.

Today I went to lunch in a blizzard with big fat snow flakes blowing sideways and icey streets.

Confusion? Yeah.
