Pearls & motorcycle gear?! Fashion statement or faux pas

Most of my riding revolves around commuting to and from work.  I wear my gear all the time and don't feel very girly at all, but yesterday Granny's pearls changed that for me.  I think they may just be my signature piece from here on out, I kind of like the mix of 'industrial rough & tough' with girly oldfashioned.  I wonder what June Cleaver would think?.......

You may be a motorcyclist. You may practice ATTGATT. But your still a woman...so why not wear pearls under your gear. Since they were your grandmothers they mean something to you.

I think June Cleaver would be proud. This is the 21st Century and you are a trend setter. We have to have a bit of bling in the world. Look out, next you will be wearing a diamond studded tennis bracelet. :) You go girl!!!

And they say diamonds are a girl's best friend! Looks like you're proving them wrong. Pearls are never wrong, always classy, especially with black.

Blending masculine and feminine pieces is a terrific fashion strategy. It usually ends up emphasizing a woman's femininity since the masculine touches highlight that by providing contrast. Besides, pearls are always in style!

Hey!

Never thought to do a fashion statement like that one and I just happen to have a string of pearls back in BC. Maybe I will do that when we get back....:-)
