Not so mellow yellow

Well I am on the hunt for a new jacket. My current jacket is too big, almost 2 sizes too big now. I am looking at the TourMaster Transition 3 in either hi viz yellow or silver or possibly even blue. I am leaning more to the silver because it won't show the road grime as much and still allows me to be visible, more than my black jacket. I really liked my transition 2 it worked well in all types of weather and at night the reflectivity is fierce and you could definitely see me, it was actually better than the hi viz traffic vest I put over top. So what do ya think?

Not sure what the silver looks like - I'm partial to green but orange is hot - 100,000 construction workers can't be wrong!

I had grey and now wear yellow. But from experience I can tell that you will continue to be invisible to some ;-)
I like the yellow better because you don't have to wear the vest which always tend to flap in the wind.

Dar-
It is the only color I wear now.

I have a vest from Olympia and a jacket from Fulmer and fly a big neon yellow flag (a motorcycle store product!).

I would love to get a neon yellow helmet next.

I am also looking for a neon yellow top case too.

Be seen! Go for it!

I think you're cute. In any color.

I would go for the high vis - mainly because that is what I have been trying to be on hunt for it I could ever find one that fit my long arms.

Hubby has the beige Transitions II and loves it. I think it is quite visible but then I'm usually staring at the back of it while riding sweep.

Go for the hi-viz yellow, it matches your eyes...

Just kidding ;-)

I like those jackets....color is up to you. Bright is better in theory, I'm not always convinced it helps enough in practice.

Nice choice Dar. I like that smile too. A kind of Christmas morning 'I-got-just-what-I-wanted' smile.

I am still betwixting and betweening on the colour. I love the idea of hi viz, and my previous pink jacket was very visible, but it got filthy and I spent more time cleaning the cuffs with a toothbrush to get the grime out. But what is a little grime in comparison to being seen. I do wonder sometimes though if the hi viz is almost a little over used, because you see it everywhere I often wonder if drivers become immune to it? Hmmmmm.
