Moto license anniversary 1 year!

Challenging the cone course on my bike

Well the first anniversay of getting my motorcycle license was October 19th.  I thought about getting out for a ride on Scarlet, but the weather was iffy, and to be honest the new puppy has been wearing me out so much, that riding has been the furthest thing from my mind because I am just a bit too tired to be out there safely riding.  Good choice in my estimation.

It has been an amazing year of firsts and challenges.  I love riding and the empowerment that it gives me and plain old pure joy.  I have met so many wonderful people and been on some amazing rides, both organized with large groups and with my dear friends the Moto Mama's.

My greatest hope for next year is to get out on my bike and log some distance and do a few trips, I have a passport in my pocket and am ready to go!

Who knows where my two wheels will lead me?!

If only the weather had co-operated I could have been a part of your 1st year Anniversary. If only I had known . . .

Congrats but it seems like you have been riding such a long time. You were the best ride leader EVER when the RTE guys came over in May, 2012 .

Good for getting your Passport too. Perhaps in the Spring we could do a short Jaunt over to the Olympic Peninsula . . .

Bob - That would be awesome - would love to ride the Peninsula!
Friday turned out to be a hauling the kid around day anyway. The weather is getting pretty icky and am defnitely not looking forward to winter.

Now that you have your passport there isn't anything to stop you from exploring the world...

Except maybe job, family, funding, pets, etc...

Congratulations! Wow, on the one hand the past year has gone by fast...and on the other hand it seems like you've been riding for years.

Thanks for letting me in on your past adventures and I'm looking forward to many more.

Woohoo!! Congrats on one year.

And it is always a good idea to stay off the bike if your head isn't in the game. That is the best way to keep your head firmly attached.

Many happy miles of riding to you in the years to come.

Congratulations! When you're ready to head south, let us know. You'll be welcome here in twisty heaven.

We just got our passports, too, and I am hoping we'll head north next summer or beyond. So many exquisite roads you have shown me in your blog, that I would love to ride!

Ccongrats - all a gal needs is a passport a plan and a good bike ... and of course less than 'icky' weather.

Way to go! It seems much longer but it must be all the miles and great stories you've shared. Thanks!

Congrats Dar !!

I honestly had no idea you'd only been riding for a year but then now that you mention it I think I should have known that from some post somewhere that I read. Looking at all the fantastic stuff you have done I always thought of you as one of those riders that I look up to with many years experience. I'll just keep looking up to you as one of those riders with bit of common sense to go with your huge sense of fun.

Keep the shiny side up sweetie, I hope this is just the beginning of some wonderful adventures for you :)

Thank you all for your well wishes! The motorcycling part is great, but making friends with all of you has truly been a gift!
